Get ready to dive into a delightful culinary adventure at 400 Beach, where the portions are generous, and the flavors are unforgettable. Situated amidst a charming outdoor setting, this St. Pete gem offers a wide array of dishes that will leave you craving more. Join me as I recount my dining experience at 400 Beach, and don’t forget to stay tuned for Bolt’s Bark of Approval.
Generous Portions and Bold Flavors
One thing is certain when dining at 400 Beach – you won’t leave hungry! The portion sizes here are perfect, and the flavors are simply divine. The deviled eggs, topped with Aleppo pepper, bacon, and chives, were some of the best I’ve ever had. The six halves were piled high and adorned with generous chunks of bacon. The taste was absolutely incredible, making this dish a must-try.
Varied Menu and Dietary Accommodations
400 Beach offers an extensive craft cocktail menu, as well as mocktails for those who prefer a non-alcoholic option. While I was initially eager to try the tuna tartare, the staff were unable to accommodate my fructan intolerance by omitting onions and garlic.
Instead, I opted for the cucumber and tomato salad with grilled salmon. Though the presentation was a bit underwhelming, the taste did not disappoint.
Delicious Offerings and Recommendations
In addition to the delectable deviled eggs, we also enjoyed the smoked salmon eggs benedict with sautéed spinach, tomato, hollandaise, poached eggs, and an English muffin. This dish was absolutely delicious and was accompanied by incredible smashed fried potatoes.
We also savored the cornbread, which featured a crispy exterior, soft interior, honey notes, fontina cheese, and Fresno peppers. This cornbread is highly recommended!
Outdoor Ambiance and Dog-friendly Service
The interior of 400 Beach is pleasant and quiet, but the majority of guests choose to dine outdoors. The exterior seating area is covered in shade by large trees and umbrella-covered tables.
The wait staff was attentive and kind to Bolt, providing him with iced water and crunchy treats. However, there were no dog-specific items on the menu. The only downside to the experience was the presence of flies, which the staff tried to alleviate by offering a different table.
Bolt’s Bark of Approval
“I must say that I felt quite welcomed at 400 Beach. The wait staff showered me with love, pets, and attention, and they even offered me some crunchy treats. I appreciated the iced water they provided, especially on a hot day in Florida. Although there were no dog-specific items on the menu, I still give 400 Beach my Bark of Approval for their warm and attentive service.”
400 Beach offers a delightful and flavorful dining experience in a serene outdoor setting. The generous portion sizes, bold flavors, and accommodating service make it an enjoyable destination for food lovers and their four-legged companions. Be sure to try the deviled eggs and the cornbread during your visit, and don’t forget to keep an eye out for Bolt’s Bark of Approval.
