A Warm and Intimate Setting

Sol St. Pete is a dedicated gluten-free and allergen-free restaurant offering an intimate and romantic atmosphere, perfect for a date night or a celebration. The beautifully decorated interior features dark walls painted with floral designs, evoking a secret garden atmosphere. Dimly lit exotic lamps hang throughout the restaurant, lending it a mystical, magical vibe. The outdoor seating on their front porch is equipped with lovely green umbrellas and string lights, making it a charming spot for dining with your pup. The flickering candles on all the tables add an extra touch of romance to the experience.

Exceptional Service and Reasonable Pricing

The service at Sol is fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Debbie, the owner, was a joy to have as our server. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and can provide guidance on dish selections. The pricing is moderately high, but the quality and the amount of food are perfect, making it well worth the expense. Sol St. Pete prides itself on offering a dining experience that caters to a variety of dietary needs without sacrificing taste or presentation.

A Delectable Culinary Adventure

Sol’s ever-changing menu features a wide array of dishes that are sure to delight your taste buds. The Mushroom Bruschetta starter, featuring herbed lion’s mane mushrooms, house-made millet and flax crostinis, and cherry tomatoes, offers a delightful combination of flavors and textures. The crispness of the crostinis perfectly complements the softness of the mushrooms and the freshness of the cherry tomatoes.

The Sol House Salad, made with baby greens, seasonal produce, fresh herbs, imported sheep pecorino romano, and the restaurant’s signature aged balsamic vinaigrette, is a light and flavorful option. The combination of seasonal ingredients ensures that each bite is packed with a variety of flavors, while the croutons add a satisfying crunch.

For main courses, the Charming Fresh Chilean Sea Bass, pan-seared and baked in a lemon herb brown butter with seasonal puree, seasonal vegetables, and blistered cherry tomatoes, melts in your mouth with each bite. The delicate flavors of the fish are enhanced by the rich, zesty lemon herb brown butter, while the puree and vegetables provide a wholesome accompaniment.

The Fresh Shrimp Alfredo is another standout dish, featuring colossal Key West shrimp, easy-to-digest Alfredo-ish sauce made with goat and sheep cheese, brown rice spaghetti, toasted millet breadcrumbs, and fresh herbs. The creamy sauce perfectly complements the succulent shrimp, and the pasta offers a satisfying, filling meal.

While the desserts, such as the warm chocolate chip cookie and crave carrot cake, cater more to health-conscious diners with their less sweet profiles, they still provide a satisfying end to a delightful meal.

Refreshing Mocktails and Allergy-Friendly Beverages

The Livener and Social mocktails were bubbly, delicious, and beautifully presented in Manhattan glasses. Sol also offers a separate wine list with vegan, no-sugar-added, no-sulfite-added, biodynamic, small-batch, family-owned wines, as well as hard cider and hard kombucha. These carefully curated beverages ensure that even those with dietary restrictions can enjoy a drink with their meal.

A Unique Dining Experience for All

Sol St. Pete is a family-owned and operated, local farm-to-table bistro that caters to all “diet lifestyle” needs. The owners, Debbie and Ron, are passionate about crafting dishes that elevate comfort food and arouse nostalgia by using simple cooking techniques and the freshest, highest quality ingredients. Their dedication to creating an inclusive, safe, conscious culinary experience makes Sol St. Pete a unique and memorable dining destination.

Debbie DeVico-O’Neil, the founder, executive chef, and co-owner with her husband, Ron, has celiac disease and many other food allergies. This has inspired her to create a restaurant that accommodates guests with various dietary needs without compromising on taste or quality. Prior to opening Sol, Debbie was a holistic and allergen-free private chef and caterer, and her expertise is evident in the delectable dishes that grace the menu.

Next time you visit Sol, be sure to try the Lion’s Mane Parmish, a mushroom cutlet breaded with gluten-free house-made Italian breadcrumbs, topped with fresh Tuscan buffalo mozzarella, and served with brown rice penne and seasonal vegetables. This dish, along with many others, showcases the creativity and care put into each offering at Sol St. Pete.

Sol St. Pete is a culinary haven for those seeking a gluten-free and allergen-free dining experience, without sacrificing flavor, quality, or ambiance. The intimate, romantic atmosphere, attentive service, and diverse menu that changes weekly and seasonally make it an unforgettable dining destination.
