Bolt Reviews Fords Garage
Located conveniently in the main part of downtown St. Pete, and within walking distance from Al Lang Stadium, Ford’s Garage is a unique eatery that brings a piece of history to life. Its roots can be traced back to its first opening in 2012 in historic downtown Fort Myers, close to Henry Ford’s winter residence while away from Michigan. This connection to the past is reflected not only in its choice of location but also in its design aesthetics.
Themed Decor and Atmosphere
A visit to Ford’s Garage feels like stepping back in time to a 1920s auto repair shop, complete with vintage Ford vehicles, gas pumps, and old Model T engines that decorate the space. This innovative concept pairs well with a casual night out, or a quick bite before a game. The establishment is as much about aesthetics as it is about good food. Every burger bears the unique “Ford’s Garage” stamp, while napkins styled as car cleaning cloths are held in tool-inspired rings, encapsulating the automobile theme to the finest detail.
Menu: A Joy Ride for Your Taste Buds
Diving into the menu, it’s apparent Ford’s Garage has mastered the art of burger making. One standout is the Ford Signature Model “A”, a culinary masterpiece featuring grilled black angus beef, aged sharp cheddar cheese, Applewood Smoked Bacon, and a Sunny Side Up Egg, all held together by a tender Brioche Bun.
It was cooked to perfection, while the accompanying fries added a delectable crunch to the meal. Another unique feature is the fried pickle spears with Cucumber Wasabi Dipping Sauce, although in the battle of texture and taste, fried pickle chips could have won the day.
Pet-Friendly Restaurant Near The Beach
Fords Garage doesn’t offer specific amenities for dogs, but they make sure to make our furry friends feel welcomed. My dog Bolt was treated exceptionally well and promptly provided with water. The restaurant boasts a covered patio with fans, a considerate design choice for dogs and their owners seeking respite from the Florida heat.
Service and Crowd
The staff at Ford’s Garage St Pete is praiseworthy, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving customers their space. Both families and adults looking for a laid-back experience will find the vibe appealing.
I highly recommend Ford’s Garage to other dog owners who would like to dine and watch events alongside their four-legged companions.
Looking Forward to the Next Visit
Given the open, inviting atmosphere, tasty recipe, and friendly service, I am eager to visit Ford’s Garage again. Exploring a different burger choice or the chicken is on the cards for my next visit, or their Brunch Burger with Breakfast Potatoes (doesn’t that sound amazing?). And who knows, maybe by then, they might consider adding fried pickle chips and a pup patty for our canine friends like Bolt.
The Verdict
Ford’s Garage beautifully combines the charm of the 1920s service station aesthetics with a gourmet burger bar, creating a delightful dining experience for both humans and their canine company.
